An intense, racy rose from Domaine Alexandre Bonnet in Les Riceys, made by macerating Pinot Noir from a steep, south facing slope of vines planted in 1974. Aged around three years on lees, it reveals pure notes of strawberry, raspberry and blackberry, with fresh almond, pepper and a cool hint of menthol. The palate is generous and structured, carried by powdery tannins to a fresh finish of tangy redcurrant and cherry. Lovely with grilled duck breast and red berries or salmon tartare, and will cellar for around 20 years.
